For those who are used to cleaning their homes would agree that some of the smells of cleansing products are disgusting, to say the least. And in case you are cleaning a room which does not have proper ventilation, you can even fall sick. Now you can use aromatherapy while cleaning your home and go through a pleasant experience.

Now don’t you think your home cleaning should be a first class experience which would make you and your home, both happy ? here are some useful tips how you can make that happen.

Home cleaning can be an enjoyable as well as a cost effective activity especially if you buy the cleaning items in large quantities.

If you use home-made products to clean your home, always label them properly and store them in an area which is inaccessible to children and pets. Even if you make these products with non-toxic materials, taking them in large quantities can cause serious health problems.

Make sure that you keep your eyes safe by staying away from essential oils. Which aromatherapy ingredients to use for cleaning/freshening and how?

All you have to do is to put some of your favorite scent into a pot of water and let it simmer for several hours. This can deodorize the air inside your rooms. When you heat citrus rinds, the aroma is very rejuvenating. Of course, you can use any essential oil.

To freshen up the air inside your bathroom, use a few drops of essential oil on the cardboard roll which holds up the toilet paper. The aroma gets released with every pull. Every time you change the toilet paper, remember to use the essential oil in this fashion.

If chemical cleansers are used and you don’t want the smell of chemicals to remain, simply rinse the room with water in which some essential oil has been dropped. You have a large variety of essential oils to choose from – eucalyptus, pine, lemon, wintergreen, lavender and many others. A good ratio for the mix is four drops to a pint of water. you can put this mixture in a spry bottle and spray it as a final rinse. Keep this mixture in a dark place.

Some oils like tee tree and lavender also contain anti-bacteria properties and make a good cleansing mixture for counter tops. Simply add a few drops to water and sprinkle on the surfaces. If you have a bigger job in hand like destroying mold and mildew, you can add about 50 drops to a bucket of water and use it.

For aromatizing your carpet, here is a recipe which is easy to make at home. Take a bowl and mix 4 cups of baking soda or cornstarch with 25 drops rosewood essential oil, 35 drops of eucalyptus essential oil and 30 drops lavender essential oil. Break the lumps and stir well. Pour into a shaker bottle. 30 minutes before you vacuum the carpet, sprinkle the mixture on the carpet. You an replace any of the essential oils mentioned here, with any of your favorites.

Here is another home made recipe for cleaning the floors. Mix 15 drops of orange essential oil and 8 drops of lemon essential oils with 1 gallon hot water and 2 tablespoons liquid soap. This mixture works wonders in freshening up the room.

If you drop several drops of your favorite essential on to a towel, you can make your own personalized dry sheets. Then you put the towel along with other clothes in to the dryer and dry as usual.

If you place some lavender oil into a spritz type of bottle and lightly sprinkle it on to your bed sheets, you can be assured of a good nights’ sleep.

An acupuncture chiropractor is much like an acupressure chiropractor. Both go hand in hand. In fact, acupuncture is the original oriental method of medicine and uses needles to stimulate energy points and to put balance in the body where acupressure uses the hands and fingertips to stimulate the energy points. Both do the same thing as far balancing and relieving pain in the body. A chiropractor uses their skills with the spine and combines them with the skills of the acupuncturist.

What conditions have been treated by an acupuncture chiropractor?

An acupuncture chiropractor helps with many types of disorders, including respiratory disorders. An acupuncture chiropractor can help with problems dealing with allergies, cough, the common cold, flue, asthma and bronchitis. While the acupuncture helps to deal with the issues, the chiropractic side of things helps to maintain the balance that is put there. Both work hand in hand in dealing with specific areas.

There are many areas that are helped with an acupuncture chiropractor. Another such area is the gastrointestinal disorders. When there is abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, digestive problems, acid reflux, ulcers, colitis or irritable bowel syndrome. There are also internal diseases that are helped as well with an acupuncture chiropractor.

How does Acupuncture and a Chiropractor Work Together?

They work hand in hand with ailments that an acupuncture chiropractor deals with. Acupuncture uses very thin needles that are inserted into specific meridians ant these meridians all are tied to specific areas of the body. The Chinese believe there are blockages in the meridians that lead to the pain and dysfunction. The acupuncturist will deal with these blockages. Then the chiropractic medicine keeps things together by balancing everything and keeping the body maintained.

You can find a good acupuncture chiropractor, but make sure you do your research. It’s important that the practitioner has a license and certificates to back up his knowledge. However, someone can have all of the above and not be very good. Make sure the reputation is very good when selecting your acupuncture chiropractor.

If you have been to a doctor, and have tried all the western world medicines, you may want to try the alternative approach. The alternative approach can help you to get off those pain pills you feel forced into taking. Acupuncture alone has been proven in science to alleviate pain and stress on the joints and muscles of your body. Chiropractors have been used for a long time to do almost exactly the same thing. A chiropractic side of things is that through touch you can fix a lot of the problems causing the ailments.

Rainbow Reiki is a newer style of Reiki that combines several methods of healing and energy with traditional Reiki. With this style of Reiki one is able to advance in their methods for healing and being able to move into a better lifestyle. There are several ideas and concepts associated with Rainbow Reiki.

Rainbow Reiki was established Walter Lubeck after his studies and research that was related to the traditional Reiki methods. From here, he incorporated several different methods for healing. This includes different traditions of Shamanism, Feng Shui, meditation concepts and communication methods. These communication methods come from concepts that were researched in relation to psychology and psychotherapy methods.

One of the developments that have occurred with Rainbow Reiki is that it has allowed for more symbols and mantras to be used. By doing this, it allows for one to be able to explore different sources of energy and helps one with different types of associations. The symbols that are used can range from spiritual animals to the four elements as well as symbols that relate to energy systems. These different symbols were mainly taken from Feng Shui concepts.

Another method that has occurred through Rainbow Reiki is in relation to aura concepts. Karma clearing techniques, Astral traveling and crystal healing methods are all used when needed. These tools are taught when one is in need of using a different method for healing. There are also aura and chakra reading techniques available for use and channeling, both which come from traditional Reiki methods. The methods that are used in relation to Shamanic Rituals include ceremonies that have been incorporated into the practice. Depending on the needs of those there, there are several different types of dances and practices to help with those in Reiki. Sweats, ceremonies and vision quests may all be a part of the healing method. The psychotherapy that is used in relation to these different traditions and methods include continuous talking between the practitioner and the one receiving treatment on what is needed and why. There is also a focus on finding the inner child in relation to this. By doing this, it helps to heal and develop personality traits by those in need.

Rainbow Reiki also holds different philosophies and principles. The first is based on learning love. From here, one must take self-responsibility. This will then help with consciousness. By following these principles, healing, relationships and empowerment can occur.

If one wants to become involved with Rainbow Reiki, they will attend a series of classes, known as degrees. For those interested but who want more information, there are seminars that are held in different areas to assist. From here, there are three degrees, or trainings, that one will go through, all which lead to becoming healed as well as becoming an instructor.

Rainbow Reiki is a specific style of Reiki that incorporates several different methods of healing in order to enable those in need. Through looking into different practices and traditions, this method of healing can be used to allow for a wide range of universal energies and traditions to help with healing.

If you are wanting to learn how to do Reiki or you want to learn how to become a practitioner of Reiki you will have to learn the various hand positions that are needed. The hand positions are what is important to help with healing. These hand positions help the energy to be channeled properly through your hands from the universal energy source to the one that needs healing.

One thing to remember is that when you are putting your hands on the body of the person that needs healing you need to keep it there. Always be sure that you have at least one hand on this person while you are moving the other hand. You want to make sure that the energy is constantly flowing through you into this person with no break in that energy flow.

There hand positions used first start out in the torso. There are a total of six hand positions to remember for this part. First of all you need to have your hands on the left side of the body, right beside the solar plexus. Your hands will be covering the pancreas and spleen. Then you move over to the right side of their body to cover the liver and pancreas with your hands. This is important because the liver and pancreas are both connected into the circulatory system.

Then you will want to place your hands parallel, one on each side, which will cover the stomach. This will also cover the intestine as well. Then you need to move your hands towards the hips ad cover the lower torso. After that you move them down to the hip joints. After you have completed these moves you start to move your hands up the torso towards the heart.

This brings about the second patterns of hand positions. You cover the heart and lungs with your hands, and then you move your hands towards the head of the person who needs healing. You place your hands on the forehead first, and this will help with the sinuses and the emotional state of the person. Then you move to cover their ears to help their hearing and help deal with stress. Then you move your hands on back and move the head to help the energy flow. Then you move your hands on down to the jaw and throat area.

There are also some hand positions that you will use on their back as well. There are a total of eight positions used here. You begin by placing your hands on the spine, starting out at the top of the back. Then you move your hands on down to where the lungs are, and then on down the back. This helps to relax and release the nerves and help them work better. Then you will move your hands all the way down to the feet of this person.

It is important to remember all these various hand positions. If you understand them you will better understand how Reiki works and how it can help heal a persons body. These positions of the hands are important and help to enhance the way energy flows through the body.

Reiki works on several levels, the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual. The ‘universal life force energy’ is channelled through the giver (rather than given from) and flows to the places the receiver needs the energy to work on.

In this day and age of great stress and distress, Reiki helps to calm the mind and bring peace, all of which can only be good. It helps to enable the mind to close down and find true peace and contentment. On a physical level, Reiki can help assist all manner of ailments from broken bones – it can help speed up the fusing of broken bones, can help relieve toothache (the writer of this article has used Reiki to this effect on herself and others to good effect!), headaches, stomach problems and many, many more things which would take more than this article to list.

One of the different things with Reiki is that the giver is also receiving a fill of this healing energy whilst they are aiding the healing of the receiver. So everyone benefits – no energies are drained or wasted.

Reiki can also be equally effective on animals of all shapes and sizes, smaller ones needing perhaps a much less treatment than larger ones.

It seems like new information is discovered about something every day. And the topic of reiki is no exception. Keep reading to get more fresh news about reiki.

Some ailments, as with most other kinds of alternative / complimentary treatments, may not be resolved completely after one session of Reiki. Several sessions may need to be carried out, but, even then, the ‘life force energy’ is going to be carrying on working well after the initial treatment has been finished, with subsequent treatments, really just topping up the previous one.

Reiki can also be combined with other therapies – a good example is massage. (The writer) Being an aromatherapist, I have frequently needed to call on the Reiki energies in order to help very stressed, tense shoulders in order to release some of the tension in a much more gentle way, thereby causing less pain and discomfort to the client.

Working on an emotional level, Reiki can help calm the mind, help people come to terms with things and be more accepting of things. Reiki has been used for people who are terminally ill, and this has helped them enormously in coming to terms with their situation, and allowing them to be at peace with themselves. Equally, Reiki can be used for their families during these times of stress and sadness.

Reiki has even been known to resurrect an ailing car battery back into life just enough to start the engine if it’s gone flat! (Strange but true!)

Is there really any information about reiki that is nonessential? We all see things from different angles, so something relatively insignificant to one may be crucial to another.

So what is a Reiki treatment really all about? The following report includes some fascinating information about Reiki treatment–info you can use, not just the old stuff they used to tell you.

A Reiki treatment is one of the most pleasurable experiences one can have. It’s non-invasive, not uncomfortable, you don’t have to undress for it, you can lay down, or you can sit up. It’s preferable to lay down to get the most out of it as you can totally relax, but if you are unable to, for whatever reasons, then sitting is fine too.

When you first meet your Reiki Practitioner, they will take down some basic details and a brief medical history. All information is held in the strictest of confidence. You will then be asked to remove your shoes and any jewellery and lay down. They will ensure that you are comfortable, you have a pillow under your head, and that your knees are supported.

Once you are comfortable you are invited to close your eyes and the practitioner will then commence the treatment. They will place their hands in various positions working from the top of your head down to your feet, normally in a symmetrical form. If you prefer not to feel the slight pressure of the practitioners hands, then this is not a problem, as their hands can still give a treatment from a few centimetres away. This is particularly useful if someone may perhaps feel a little claustrophobic or is uncomfortable if someone is in such close proximity to them.

With hands being placed for a few minutes each over the eyes, the top of the head, the jaws & face, back of the head, ears, throat, heart, chest, left ribs, right ribs, waist, lower abdomen, knees and ankles, no movement takes place, just stillness. Once the front of the body has been completed, you will be asked to turn over so that the back of the body can be treated in a similar format, the left shoulder, the right shoulder, middle of the back, waist, lower back, backs of the knees finishing off with the soles of the feet.

Sometimes the most important aspects of a subject are not immediately obvious. Keep reading to get the complete picture.

The practitioner will then, gently, bring you back into the present from your deeply relaxed state in an energetic but calm way. Your feet will be gently rotated, and the backs of your legs massaged in turn, followed by your arms, together with gentle massage strokes along the back.

The practitioner separates their energy field from yours and will leave you for a few moments to ‘come too’.

When the practitioner returns you are invited to sit up and will be offered a glass of water. This will aid your system to flush out any toxins which has been started during the session.

After a treatment you may feel very calm and deeply relaxed. Sometimes you may feel energised, and at others you may feel tired. As you have treatments you will become more awakened to how your body feels.

After your treatment you must remember to try and drink water frequently over the next 24 hours in order to continue flushing out the toxins, as the energy still continues to work for this long after treatment.

The day will come when you can use something you read about here to have a beneficial impact. Then you’ll be glad you took the time to learn more about Reiki treatment.

When a practitioner has undergone their Second Degree course of Reiki, they will have been attuned with the ‘distant’ symbol which will enable them to carry out healing over a distance. This means that they don’t have to be in the same room, same town or even same country in order to heal them! it can be literally done long distance because it is only in the physical world that time and distance matter. When healing over a distance, it is the same as if the practitioner is in the same room as the person they are healing.

The attunement symbol enables the Reiki energies to become much more potent, and using powers of visualisation and intent, the practitioner can ‘connect’ with the other person, animal, object or event etc., in order to help them. At this level too, the intent becomes much stronger – thereby facilitating the healing process. It is the ‘intention’ that is the crucial in this instance. The practitioner does not have to be present

For Distant healing the practice is normally carried out over a series of days for a set amount of time for each of those days with the reiki practitioner sending energy to the person for their higher good – thus allowing for the energies to work on them as a whole. Using visualisation techniques, and once again the intent, energies can be focused by the reiki practitioner to target specific areas of the other person that may need healing.

Truthfully, the only difference between you and Reiki experts is time. If you’ll invest a little more time in reading, you’ll be that much nearer to expert status when it comes to Reiki.

These distant healing sessions can be just as powerful as if you are in the same room receiving a treatment, though many people do not feel that they can be as effective as when the reiki practitioner is in the same room as the person who is receiving the healing.

Distant healing can also be used for helping people deal with situations that may have happened in their past, Reiki can be used to assist in healing the damage that may have been caused particularly on the person’s emotional levels.

Many Reiki practitioners send Reiki healing when disasters strike, be they natural or man made. It has been reported that this type of healing can be helpful in these types of situations though many tend to disbelieve whether this is true or not.

That’s how things stand right now. Keep in mind that any subject can change over time, so be sure you keep up with the latest news.

When most people think of Reiki symbols, what comes to mind is usually basic information that’s not particularly interesting or beneficial. But there’s a lot more to Reiki symbols than just the basics.

When you first find out about Reiki you will invariably keep coming across references to symbols, be it in their own right, or being associated with the ‘attunements’ that one undergoes in order to be able to have the Reiki energy channelled through them.

The symbols referred to are ones that the Reiki founder, Dr Mikao Usui prepared for his own students. The symbols were a tool, a visual focus to help the students learn to assimilate or become familiar with a particular energy; the student was not ‘attuned’ to the symbol in the way that we understand in Western Reiki: they were simply given the symbol to use as a focus. These symbols have always been regarded highly precious and up until recent years, have been highly guarded and handed down carefully from one Reiki Master to another – no hard copies were allowed, it all had to be committed to m
emory – though these symbols may vary across the varying styles of Reiki.

The Reiki symbols are specific items used by Reiki practitioners who have been attuned to use them, and who are taught to focus their intent for specific uses They are an integral part of the attunement / initiation process.

The use of the Reiki symbols, further enhance the practitioner’s ability to utilise the Reiki energy, focusing it for specific purposes.

Most of this information comes straight from the Reiki symbols pros. Careful reading to the end virtually guarantees that you’ll know what they know.

The symbols are normally only taught at the Second Degree level of Reiki and enable the practitioner to carry out distance healing by using these symbols.

During the First Degree level, the practitioner is ‘tuned-on’ or ‘attuned’ personally to these powerful symbols thereby allowing the new practitioner to channel this energy force.

The four symbols refer to Power, Mental-Emotional healing, Distance, and the Reiki Master Symbol.

The Power Symbol is used to increase the flow of the Reiki energy, or to assist focussing Reiki more intensely at a specific location or with a specific intent. The Mental-Emotional healing symbol, is used for helping with anxiety, stress depression etc. It can also help with enforcing positive thought patterns and helping to rid the person of negative thought patterns. The Distant symbol aids in the healing over distance, be it people, animals, events, situations etc. The Reiki Master symbol is effectively, for allowing the practitioner to attune others. This fourth symbol encapsulates all of the other three symbols.

These symbols are simply graphical representations of different aspects of the Reiki energy.

It never hurts to be well-informed with the latest on Reiki symbols. Compare what you’ve learned here to future articles so that you can stay alert to changes in the area of Reiki symbols.

So what is Reiki really all about? The following report includes some fascinating information about Reiki–info you can use, not just the old stuff they used to tell you.

Reiki which is pronounced Ray-key is a specific method of healing which is based on the application of the Universal life Force energy which is present in all people. Reiki is a relatively easy “Art” to master and has many beneficial uses to both man and animal. It is taught in a series of levels each of which enables the practitioner to enhance his/her skill.

Reiki involves the direct application of “Chi” which is a term used by the Chinese for the underlying force of energy of which the universe is composed of. Chi is used by many mystics in their search for the metaphysical side of the Universe.

To become an accomplished “Master” in the practice of Reiki, you have to pass three levels of competence

These are

• Hands on
• Hands on plus Healing at a distance
• Level 2 plus the Master Symbol

There is also another level which many practitioners merely see as an extension to level 3, and this is Level 3 plus the capability to train other Reiki practitioners

Level 1

This is the introductory level. It provides access to the energy required for healing and also the direct hands on healing.

Think about what you’ve read so far. Does it reinforce what you already know about Reiki? Or was there something completely new? What about the remaining paragraphs?

Level 2

Level 2 teaches three of the time-honoured four symbols used in Reiki. There is by and large an increase in the amount of power used, with the ability of the practitioner to do healing at a distance.

Level 3

Level 3 teaches the fourth symbol which is the Master Symbol. There is usually again, an increase in power for the practitioner.

Level 4

If counted as a level, level 4 is normally used as an extra training ground for level 3. This level looks at the practitioner’s possession of confidence and the knowledge needed to conduct Reiki classes of their own. They are able to guide the novice Reiki practitioner on their path towards enlightenment

The above is obviously a very concise look at the four levels of Reiki; there are many other factors to take into account.

Many teachers of Reiki adapt some of the teaching methods to emphasise certain points they wish to make, yet others may bring in their own favoured methods of teaching. Ultimately this does not pose a problem as long a sit is realised that core principles of Reiki should be kept intact and not diluted in any form.

As your knowledge about Reiki continues to grow, you will begin to see how Reiki fits into the overall scheme of things. Knowing how something relates to the rest of the world is important too.
